DETAILED ITINERARY(sample)2024

 

Day 1 – Friday

Afternoon -Arrive Graiguenamanagh

Check in at Waterside Guesthouse

Short walk on river bank to Silaire Wood and Graiguenamanagh Boathouse

Dinner at Waterside

Accommodation at Waterside

 

Day 2 – Saturday

Breakfast at Waterside

Row from Graiguenamanagh to St. Mullins along the river Barrow.  This includes the unique experience of passing through 4 lock gates on the Barrow navigation 

We take a short break for a light lunch  on the banks of the river

After lunch we get back in the boats and row on from St. Mullins down river(now we are in tidal water) to arrive at New Ross Boat club

Transport back to Graiguenamanagh by minibus

Dinner at Waterside

After dinner repair to the pub for refreshments and possibly traditional Irish music session in the famous Mick Doyle’s Pub in Graiguenamanagh

Day 3 – Sunday

Breakfast at Waterside

Check out from rooms

Transport to New Ross by Minibus

Row upriver from New Ross along the River Barrow and then into the river Nore we follow on upstream to the beautiful village of Inistioge, Co. Kilkenny

Transport by minibus back to Graiguenamanagh

Lunch at Waterside

Depart Waterside - Tour ends

 

The cost of the above during 2024 would be a total of €385.00 per person.

Payment of €385.00 per person to Waterside includes 2 nights bed and breakfast and evening meal. Lunch day 2 and 3. Transport from New Ross day 2, Transport to New Ross day 3, transport back to Graiguenamanagh from Inistioge.

 Includes use of the touring quads for the days based at Waterside and of course sculling blades to use with the boats. Transport of the quads by trailer to and from the rowing site on each day. Guide for all elements of the tour and safety boat for all rowing days. Lock keepers where required.
